Innovative Healthcare Simulation & Teaching Facility

Architon was appointed by Kingston University to transform an existing office area within the Frank Lampl Building into an innovative healthcare simulation and teaching facility.

Designed to support modern clinical education, the new facility includes a mock hospital ward, immersive learning suite, sluice room, clinical storage areas and staff accommodation. At the heart of the project is a state-of-the-art immersive environment that combines virtual reality and advanced digital technologies to create realistic healthcare training scenarios.

The scheme was developed to provide students with practical, hands-on learning experiences within a safe and adaptable environment. New building services, specialist equipment and integrated audiovisual technology were incorporated throughout to support evolving teaching methods and future technological developments.

Completed in 2024, the project delivers a cutting-edge learning environment that strengthens Kingston University’s healthcare education offer and prepares students for real-world clinical practice.
