Kingston University

Refurbishment and reconfiguration of teaching facilities across three Kingston University campuses, building on the university’s established model for collaborative learning environments. The project transformed a series of existing spaces to create flexible, technology-enabled teaching settings that support a range of learning and teaching styles.

Works included selective alterations to the existing fabric, refurbishment and redecoration throughout, and the installation of new building services and integrated AV systems. Detailed reviews of existing teaching facilities, supported by feasibility studies, informed the design process to maximise flexibility and future adaptability within each space.

Alongside the learning environments, the project delivered a dedicated midwifery training suite for St George’s University Hospital. The new facility provides specialist teaching accommodation tailored to healthcare education requirements, complementing the wider programme of educational improvements.

The scheme successfully modernised existing accommodation while creating adaptable, contemporary spaces that enhance both the student experience and the university’s teaching offer.
