Architon was commissioned by GlaxoSmithKline to design the conversion of the existing first-floor changing facilities within Building 6 into a Laboratory Annex for the Protein Cellular Science (PCS) Laboratory.

The project enhanced the functionality of the main PCS Laboratory by relocating refrigerators, freezers, and incubators to the new annex, creating a more efficient, organised, and comfortable working environment within the primary laboratory space.

By consolidating the PCS laboratory workflow, the new annex improves operational efficiency, supports greater collaboration between teams, and increases the laboratory's capacity to accommodate future business growth and expanding research demands.
